HAL - RAR Proctorship Programs

A.M.I., Inc. sponsors regional and national HAL-RAR Proctorship Programs. A.M.I.'s proctorships are a one day didactic program with board certified Colon & Rectal Surgeons. All HAL - RAR Proctorships involve surgical observation with two to three surgical cases. Participating surgeons will have extensive one-on-one interaction with an experienced HAL - RAR surgeon.

HAL Proctorship Program Outline:

  1. History of HAL - RAR
  2.  Current Hemorrhoid Modalities
  3. HAL Case Study Review
  4. Pre-Surgical patient management
  5. OR Set-Up and Equipment Review
    • Surgical Case Management
    • Patient Positioning
    • Artery Positioning and Detection
    • Ligation
    • Mucopexy/Proctoplasty
    • Procedure Planning
  6. Post-operative patient management

HAL - RAR Product Education Specialist Support:

After surgeon proctoring, on-site case support may be continued by A.M.I. Product Education Specialist for the next two to four cases or until the trainee and their OR are ready to perform HAL - RAR surgical cases on their own.
